"Chapati & Karak”, the Middle East’s and Qatar’s acclaimed café restaurant, branched out of Katara Cultural Village, in Doha-Qatar, to the swanky Knightsbridge area in London- UK. Located at 144 Brompton Road – nearby Knightsbridge’s luxury brands and high end department store such as Harrods – “Chapati & Karak” is now serving to London’s shoppers and tea zealots, the remarkable taste of the local culinary tradition.

The café’s concept takes after a traditional Indian cuisine ritual that entered the GCC region and Qatar 50 years ago and has become ingrained in Doha’s food culture. Nowhere is this widespread success more evident than in the queue of cars lining up daily in front of the “Chapati & Karak” Doha shack from sunrise till sunset.

Our Testimonials

  • This is a great option for tasty food and excellent value for money. We went for an early evening dinner on a Friday evening – a nice buzzy vibe. We ordered 2 chapatis each plus a Nutella pudding one to share. Had a large bottle of water and one karak _ total was 65 QAR. The chapatis were fresh and delicious – loved the tomato and egg and the keema options. Simple restaurant with paper plates and plastic glasses, and nice prompt service – sat outside, and was not too hot. Lingered over our chapatis and did not feel rushed at all. The whole place felt very fun and authentic – planning to return again soon.

  • “Portal to the Middle East”
Wow.. okay a little pricey but given the location it is not too bad.. We had an enjoyable breakfast on a very cold Sunday morning as we waited for the shops to open. We were not hurried or made to feel rushed and the sweet tea kept us going for hours. We shall be making a return visit in the next couple of weeks..

  • “Great”
Nice place to start with. I liked the karak, chapati, cream cheese chapati & cheddar cheese chapati. Ideal for Arabic people, as the songs played are Arabic.

  • “Perfect escape in central”
Definitely the best Karak I’ve had in London and great atmosphere as it feels just like being home in the Gulf (which is a rare find in busy central!)
